Looking ahead at 2010's slate
Thank god the oscars are over. I'm going to be taking a short hiatus for a couple of weeks. However, I'll write when the mood strikes me, mostly reviews and such. Until then, I thought I'd give us a preview of the films in store for this year. As far as oscars go, nothing really sticks out right now. Most of the more well-known filmmakers are venturing into genre-fare. Scorsese already did with Shutter Island, Christopher Nolan has his sci-fi thriller Inception, Terrance Malick has Tree of Life coming up, etc. For now, I'll just put out a list of anticipated upcoming titles. What are you most looking forward to this year?
1. Inception
2. Iron Man 2
3. Green Zone
4. True Grit
5. Robin Hood
6. Toy Story 3
7. Black Swan

21. Yes although disappointment is certain
I would add:
22. Kick-Ass (I'm a huge fan of the comic and this looks insane, intense, and awesome)
23. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (easily in my top five most anticipated of 2010)
24. Get Low
25. The Town
26. The Green Hornet
I am so not looking forward to Kick-Ass. I just don't get the appeal, it looks like every other Judd Apatow produced movie ever
1. Inception - OH MY GOD CANNOT WAIT WILL EXPLODE.
2. Iron Man 2 - very excited about this as well.
3. Green Zone - You know how I feel about this.
4. True Grit -meh
5. Robin Hood - As much as I love Cate Blanchett, I am so tired of the Robin Hood story. Just like the King Arthur story, this has been done to death.
6. Toy Story 3 - My childhood is returning!
8. The Rum Diary - OMG it's about time!
14. Clash of the Titans - Excited about this.
16. Prince of Persia - YES!!! Jake looks delicious in the preview.
20. Due Date - YES!!!! Two RDJ movies for me! <3
21. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I - Well and you know I'll be there midnight in my Potter gear to see this movie. I CANNOT WAIT!!! I will surely cry when this ends, even though I know it won't be any where near as good as the books.
What? NO ECLIPSE?
Hahahaha.
I'm def most stoked about 21 - been waiting for the seventh movie(s) since I read the book. ^_^
So how many Robin Hoods have been made now? Redonkulous.
Seeing the Toy Story 3 trailer in 3D made me want to watch the original again...it's gonna be good.
*scrolls up once more* Well...that's all I have to say about that. *fades back to lurkerland*
